Debate over the city shows two different visions of Pamplona

Pamplona (EFE).- The debate on the state of the city, held at the Pamplona City Hall, has confronted two visions of Pamplona, that of a city “very well located” in donations and financial resources to face the crisis thanks to the administration of Na+, and that of a city that according to the opposition is governed by means of “scams” and with “opacity”.

Mayor Enrique Maya has defended during the debate that Pamplona is “willing” to face future challenges and has also assured that in 2023, despite the “hack” that assumes capital suppression due to PSN’s “submission”, EH Bildu and Geroa Bai to the government, will not raise taxes and can lower the price of the blue zone.

After calling on the PSN for an agreement on “relevant issues”, Maya has looked at everything that has been done since the last general debate and hinted at the burgeoning projects for Media Luna, La Milagrosa, the Camino de Santiago, the extension of the bike path , new parking spaces , the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the Privilege of the Union, the rehabilitation of housing for social purposes, the first plan for cultural diversity, new assisted apartments for the elderly, the gardens of Santo Domingo or the bases of the Cordovilla -Galar plan for 4,000 homes.

However, according to the spokesperson for EH Bildu, Maya’s equilibrium is that of “a management based on shenanigans, fudges and lies”, adding that this is “the most disapproved mayor of the most questioned government team”, underlining that “the only thing he can get his projects from the previous legislature.”

Very critical opposition to the board of the municipal team

According to Joseba Asiron, Maya has a “scam and cortijera” way of governing, to which she has added the “poor democratic spirit”, “wasted things”, such as the redevelopment of Sarasate, the “indecent” spending on “identity obsessions” of almost 200,000 euros in a flag and the “lies” in the cost of the Labrit catwalk, which has now risen from 100,000 euros to 180,000.

The socialist Maite Esporrín has also criticized the “lies, shenanigans and waste” of NA+ and a “unilateral action in a partisan and electoral key”, with “bad forms”, “as judge and party”, as well as the “opacity “in several files, “even the enforcement of justice”, for which he has complained “a selfish and irresponsible right” that “accepts no criticism or scrutiny from the opposition” and which “takes no democratic defeats, not hesitating to ask the question to cast doubt.” institutions where they don’t send.”

And he has denounced “the partisan use” of communal symbols and public goods and verbal “threats”, by burofax or legal writings “to try to silence us”, because “from what has been agreed with you, only what suits you is fulfilled” because in other cases it chooses to “impose”, such as the Labrit footbridge, the Paseo de Sarasate urbanization or the flag of Navarra, an expense that is “outrageous” in times of crisis.

Finally, Patxi Leuza, spokesman for Geroa Bai, blamed the mayor of Pamplona for his “inability to manage”, his “opaqueness” and his “xenophobic” attitude, and claimed “transparent management” for the city.
