Validity end of auction

In practice, the drug auction in Andalusia is no longer held, after the last term of the current one that remained in force ended at the end of 2020 because it was planned by the previous socialist government.

The drug auctions were promoted in 2011 by the socialist government, with María Jesús Montero as advisor, and they always had the rejection of the PP and criticism of the sector, even denouncing shortages, unequal access to medicines or that it went against the market unit.

The Andalusian Pharmacy Act stated that public calls could be made to select the drug from the pharmaceutical lab whose proposal represented the lowest final cost to the Andalusian health service.

Moreno has always opted for access to medicines based on medical criteria and not savings and has denounced the crime with the rest of the Spaniards.
