Citizens of Ukraine will be able to study for free for IT specialists. The Ministry launches the IT Generation educational project.
This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
Ukrainians between the ages of 21 and 60 who have no education or experience in IT can apply for training. Recruitment will open in July, and training will begin in August this year.
You can master any of the 11 IT areas: FrontEnd, QA, Java, Python, Project / Product Management, Digital Marketing and more. Schools that already train IT specialists will join the program.
Initially, 1,000 Ukrainians will be able to study under the program, later this number will be doubled. In total, they plan to give 60,000 Ukrainians the opportunity to learn a new profession in IT.
“Our goal is to increase the share of IT in the country’s GDP to 10%, which before the full-scale invasion reached a maximum of 5%. Despite the war, our IT sector continues to grow,” Fedorov wrote.
